OFFICER BIO

Kiah Champion

Hi, Delegates! My name is Kiah Champion and I will be serving as the chair of Group of Twenty this year! I am a senior at Rancocas Valley Regional High School and this will be my 4th and final year at MUN.

G-20 is a special committee because its small size allows for dynamic debate. Aside from exciting debate, the size of our committee allows for the opportunity to learn a lot about your fellow delegates and to form meaningful bonds throughout the weekend.

My favorite Model UN memory is my first committee session in G-20. I came to G-20 after being in General Assembly for two years, and I was nervous about being in a smaller committee. During my first committee session in G-20, I quickly felt at home and it opened my eyes even more to how supportive and welcoming everyone at MUN is.

If you are a first-year, my biggest advice is: Don’t be shy. Everyone is just as nervous as you are, including the 4th year delegates, so don’t be too nervous to speak up in committee. As soon as you stop being afraid, you’ll start having fun!

Outside of MUN, I do Future Business Leaders of America and intern at a local business. In my free time, I love to read and visit new places, especially art museums!

I can’t wait to meet you all at conference this year and to learn more about each of you. See you soon!
