If you are a returning advisor, please note the following key changes to the conference for the coming year. These are vital to recognize, as they are a break with past years.

Committees and Lodging at the Hotel Hershey

Due to increasing demand to attend our conference coupled with our desire to keep committees small and intimate to preserve impact, we will continue to host our conference at both the Hershey Lodge and the Hotel Hershey this year. Based on current plans (to be confirmed), the Courts and Nation Building Committee will continue to meet in this second location. All transportation and logistics will continue to be coordinated by the YMCA. Lodging space in the Hershey Lodge will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis (based on receipt of Hotel forms and payments, and registrations in our online system).

Changes to conference schedule

Program staff is working to finalize changes to the conference schedule.  The goal of these changes is to separate conference sessions from meal times, which will minimize the number of bus trips between the two conference locations, and ease congestion in Great American Hall during lunch and dinner.  As soon as details are finalized, an updated version of the tentative schedule will be available on the Y-MUN website (and emailed to advisors).

Boxed lunches are now optional

After receiving feedback from advisors, boxed lunches for Sunday lunch (previously available for pickup after closing ceremony before departure) are no longer included in conference fees.  Conference staff will be able to facilitate the purchase of boxed lunches from the Lodge for delegations upon request.  More information on how to place orders and cost will be available later this fall.

2018 Conference Fees

Fees for this year’s conference are as follows (note that financial assistance is available):

  • $300 per student (four students per hotel room)
  • $335 adult (double); $395 adult (single)

Program fees include hotel accommodations for two nights (Friday and Saturday) in one of our conference hotels, six meals (Friday: lunch & dinner; Saturday: breakfast, lunch, dinner; Sunday: breakfast), and conference materials (manuals, t-shirts, etc.). All fees should be paid with one check per delegation.

All the forms, resources, documents, and other information you need for your delegation can be accessed at any time from our Advisor Hub on the Y-MUN website (https://mun1.ymcace.org/resources/hub/).  We will update the page with additional information as necessary.
